Session Overview: The Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry was established in December 2017 and is due to release findings in early February 2019. The hearings have publicly illustrated concerning aspects of the culture and conduct in the industry. This webinar looks at the potential implications for internal auditors arising from the findings. Presenter: Daniel de Zilva, PhD Dan is an Associate Director of Kiel Advisory Group, where he conducts independent reviews of risk culture, and assists financial institutions and regulators build internal capability in evidence-based assessment and cultural change. As a risk culture specialist, Dan has combined his background in Organisational Psychology with experience in internal audit, risk management and frontline conduct teams across two major Australian banks to provide expert input on assessment, action planning, governance and training. The foundations of Dan's input come from strong research linkages that have seen him publish and present findings globally on decision making biases, formation of attitudes, learning of expectations and behaviours, and business ethics.
