Topic: A new look at privacy in the project lifecycle

Topic brief description: A focus on how the comprehensive global and local privacy reforms are overhauling the privacy frameworks and legislations. A project life cycle based approach will be taken to discuss how privacy practices in the public and private sector entities in New Zealand can remain trusted in the interconnected global information landscape.

About Hassham: Hassham has joined KPMG in New Zealand from Dubai last year, where he has worked in KPMG Dubai’s cyber security team as well as for other consulting firms. He has extensive experience in managing large security programs, cyber security consulting, evaluating organisations’ IT security risks and controls and developing innovative solutions for improving IT operations and security. Some of his relevant industry certifications include ISO 27001 LA, PMP, ISO 31000 practitioner, CMMI, MCP and COBIT 5 foundation.
