It is likely that money laundering is currently going undetected in New Zealand. Money laundering is the method by which people disguise the illegal origins of the proceeds of crime, and protect and enjoy their assets. Learn how you can detect AML activity, what do you do, who do you report it to, and what are your professional responsibilities.

Bernie is an independent consultant specialising in internal audit, risk management and governance. Bernie is based in Wellington and brings professional expertise with a global perspective having spent some years engaged as an accredited internal audit quality assurance reviewer. Bernie is the Deputy Chair on the IIA NZ Board having joined IIA NZ in 2000 and has been a strong advocate of the internal audit value since.
