Topic: Internal Audit 3.0 - The Future of Internal Audit is Now

As organisations move to a technology driven, risky and disruptive future, we need to update the emphasis and delivery model for internal audit.

The role of internal audit will remain much the same: to assure and advise, however the most successful internal audit functions will also anticipate and provide proactive assurance to help organisations keep pace with emerging risks. Use of modern data analytics techniques such as predictive modelling and machine learning will provide the forward-looking insights to help internal auditors stay ahead of emerging risks. Visual analytics and robotic process automation will drive efficiency and enable broader and deeper coverage of audit tests.

Join Mike Oliver (Associate Director, Deloitte) to discuss the future of internal audit and the data analytics solutions that will help make this a reality.

About our speaker

Mike joined Deloitte in early 2018 to establish Deloitte's Christchurch and South Island Data Analytics Practice. He has over 20 years' experience in Data Analytics encompassing Fraud Prevention, Predictive Modelling, Automation and Improvement of Operational Processes and Test-Analytics.

Mike's presentation will start shortly after 5pm and will be followed by an opportunity to network.
