IIA NZ / ISACA Webinar: Tales from the Dark Side - Lessons learnt from 30 years of penetration testing and red teaming in New Zealand

  • Date: Thursday, 11 December
  • Time: 12:00pm
  • Presentation Method: Online
  • Speaker: Philip Whitmore (KPMG)

As a country, we don't seem to be getting much better at cyber security. Despite spending more time and money on cyber security than we ever have, significant security weaknesses continue to get identified within our systems and processes.

Starting in the mid-90s, Philip Whitmore was probably the first person in New Zealand to deliver penetration testing (also known as white hat hacking) as a service. With 30 years' hacking experience behind him now, Philip will share insights into what he continues to find, why we still have significant security vulnerabilities, and what pragmatic steps we can all take to significantly mitigate the risk.

Whether you're a cyber security specialist, IT professional, internal auditor, risk specialist, or just have an interest in cyber security, this seminar should provide insights that you can readily apply in your role.
