ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Robin Crimp is a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with RAC Insolvency Limited. He has worked in the insolvency industry since the early 2000s and has developed extensive experience across a broad range of insolvency and restructuring matters.

Robin has acted in personal bankruptcies, company liquidations, and both company and personal receiverships. In addition to formal appointments, he has advised businesses directly on their options when facing financial distress, providing guidance to directors and stakeholders navigating challenging circumstances.

Robin has worked in house within Heartland Bank's asset management team, managing distressed lending portfolios. In this role, he worked closely with borrowers to restructure businesses or achieve the orderly repayment of debt, providing valuable insight into the lender perspective during periods of financial stress.

Robin's professional background also includes experience with insolvency teams at Deloitte and PwC in New Zealand and Smith & Williamson in the United Kingdom, offering broad exposure to cross jurisdictional insolvency and restructuring matters.

Robin currently operates through RAC Insolvency Limited, where he acts as a receiver or liquidator and undertakes formal insolvency appointments. He is registered as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP Registration No. 163) and holds a practising certificate from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
