Event Details: Event Overview: IIA NZ is pleased to host this one-hour online webinar with John Ryan, former Auditor-General of New Zealand, exploring the timely topic of Maintaining Integrity When the Chips Are Down. In times of pressure, uncertainty, public scrutiny, organisational change or crisis, integrity can be tested in very real and practical ways. For internal auditors, governance professionals, risk leaders and those working in assurance, the ability to maintain professional judgement, independence, courage and clarity is essential. Drawing on his extensive experience in public sector accountability, audit, governance and leadership, John will share reflections on what it means to uphold integrity when circumstances are complex, challenging or uncomfortable. This session will explore how leaders, internal auditors and assurance professionals can remain grounded in purpose, values and public trust, even when the environment around them is difficult. Who should attend? Agenda: John Ryan will present for approximately 30 minutes, followed by a 30-minute facilitated Q&A and discussion led by an IIA NZ Board member. Registrations are now open and will close on Friday 3 July 2026. A confirmation email and online access details will be sent to registered attendees prior to the event. If you require assistance with registering, please contact events@iianz.org.nz
