The IIA NZ Lunch 'n' Learn Monthly Luncheon serves as a platform for professionals in the field of risk management, internal auditing, and related disciplines to come together, network, and gain valuable insights and knowledge from industry experts. The purpose of these luncheons is to foster collaboration, share best practices, networking opportunities and promote continuous professional development. This event is offered as a hybrid event. All are welcome. Topic Overview: In today's digital landscape, protecting your brand from cyber threats is critical. This talk explores defence measures to safeguard your organisation's reputation, sensitive data, and digital assets. Key points include: Cybersecurity is a constantly changing and evolving domain, and our customers need dedicated professionals to help defend their organisations and data. By applying Zero Trust principles, our team help organisations to embed these security principles into their technology and architecture. My primary goal is to position Datacom as the go-to option for organizations that recognize cybersecurity as a critical part of their overall strategy. With 20 years of experience in both Cybersecurity and IT, I am well-versed in bridging the gap between business and technology. I have worked with a range of public and private sector agencies, giving me an understanding of both the measured, compliance approach of government and the quick and adaptable approach of the private sector. My primary goal is to position Datacom as the go-to option for organisations that recognise cybersecurity as a critical part of their overall strategy. With 20 years of experience in both Cybersecurity and IT, I am well-versed in bridging the gap between business and technology. We are excited to welcome our distinguished speaker, Chris Miller (Datacom) to our IIA NZ Lunch n Learn July 2024 event. These luncheon events offer an excellent opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing among professionals in the field. This month, our speaker Chris will discuss "Hacking the Dark Web: Proactive Defence to Protect Your Brand ." The Luncheon event will also offer an excellent opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing among professionals in the field. Online Networking: Prior to the commencement of the welcoming remarks and the speaker's presentation at 12:30 pm, we're organising a virtual lunch chat room session. You'll have the chance to engage with fellow online attendees and get into the networking spirit! We will providing two separate Team meeting invites for your convenience. The first Team invite will connect you to the chat room lunch session, where you can interact with all the online participants over lunch. The second Team invite is reserved for the main speaker presentation and the ensuing Q&A session. The online session link will be sent to online delegates the day prior, along with background material for the sessions registered.
