2025 IIA NZ Workshop: The New Global Internal Audit Standards (3rd Workshop of 3)

As of 9 January 2025, the updated Global Internal Audit Standards are now in effect, marking a significant shift in how internal audit functions will operate worldwide. This workshop is designed to help IIA NZ members reflect on the key points raised during our 2024 workshops and dive deeper into the practical aspects of applying these new standards.

We will focus on:

  • Implementation challenges: Addressing any difficulties or roadblocks that members are still encountering when trying to implement the new standards in their organisations.
  • Clarifications and questions: Providing a forum for participants to raise specific questions about how the standards impact their day-to-day operations, and how best to align with the expectations set by Global IIA.
  • Updates from Global IIA: Sharing any further guidance, clarifications, or adjustments from the Global IIA following the initial rollout of the new standards.

This workshop will be highly interactive, offering peer discussions to ensure that attendees walk away with clear, actionable steps for aligning their internal audit practices with the new global standards.

To help participants stay up to date leading up to the workshop, we encourage you to keep an eye on our Events Calendar for relevant webinars hosted by Global IIA. These webinars will offer further insights and updates on the standards and provide valuable context for the discussions we will have during the workshop.

This workshop is crucial for any internal audit professional aiming to enhance their auditing practices, and ensure their organisation is fully aligned with the latest global requirements. It will also be an opportunity to network with peers and share best practices in adapting to the changes.

Event Information:

  • Date: Thursday 13th February 2025
  • Delivery Method: Online - Teams Meeting
  • Time: 10:00 - 11:00 am
  • Duration: 1 Hour

Please Note: The workshop will feature a blend of repeated and sequential elements. While the foundational content across all three sessions will be consistent, we will incorporate feedback and additional insights gathered via IIA Global to refine and enhance the subsequent workshops. Some sections will be repeated, while others will introduce new material based on this evolving input.
